Italy is a wonderful country for motorbike tours. In the north there are the mountain passes across the Alps and the roads around Lake Maggiore, Lago di Como and Lago di Garda which attract the riders.
The Tuscany offers pleasure riding and recreations pure in the middle of Italy. The mountainous country in the region Marche is just as attractive. It is located between the Apennines and the Adriatic Sea. And there is Umbrien, Italy’s green heart, which invites to ride vast tours through its hills and large plains. And everywhere are fantastical country lanes and gravel roads which can be ridden on!
Possible destinations in the south of Italy are for example the rocky coast line, the Vesuvius, the gentle hill country around Sorrent or Calabria, the woodlands at the "tip of the boot". Wherever on the "boot" one travels along -there is plenty of room. It’s only during the summer, when towns like Rome, Florence or Naples are filled with all kinds of visitors.

Rides on Sardinia are demanding. The island has high mountains and winding roads. To find some relaxation after the rides one should check out the sand beaches. Anyone traveling down to Sicily will discover volcanoes and lave fields to the right and the left of the courses.

Some geography:
Italy spreads across 301,000 square kilometers and has close to 58 million inhabitants. Language of the country is Italian, but some minorities still speak their native languages, in South Tyrol (German, Ladinisch), in Aostatal (French) and at Friuli (Slovenian).
A large majority of the Italians are Catholics. The Tifosi celebrate their national holiday, the foundation day of their republic (1946), on the 2nd of June.
