For traveling to Hungary the identification card is sufficient.
In order to drive or ride a vehicle one needs to be in possession of a driver’s license as well as the registration papers. The international green insurance card serves as proof of insurance and has to be presented in vehicle spot-checks.
Within built-up areas the speed limit is 50 km/h, outside of it 90 km/h. On highways one is allowed to travel at a maximum speed of 110 km/h and on autobahns of 130 km/h. Right before railway crossings one has to slow down to 30 km/h.
Low beams have to be turned on even during the day.
